ALL IRRELEVANT. BLYTH HAVE BOTTLED IT. GAME OFF.

Here it is, the one game of the year that surely can’t be any worse than last season; Blyth, the scene of a frankly bizarre match which Boro lost 6-3 as Tommy Wright’s tenure entered a terminal decline.

Defeat today would put us on the precipice of relegation. The team who could seal the deal would be Wright’s Darlington. That would be more than unjust, considering his inpetitude both for us and his new charges. That said, who really expects him to be able to put together a team to beat us?

Back to today’s game against another bunch of northern monkeys. Birch and Baxendale became the latest players to depart. Nothing has been announced regarding any incomings as we write, but rumours abound that much like last weeks Barlone signing, some late deals were done.

Blyth away was always a blast in the 00s as the town was a throwback to the 90s with its pub scene. Sadly now we’re in the 10s, and Blyth is still a decade behind so now it’s like going back to the 00s, which were awful.

Prediction… Blyth 3-6 Boro. Lots of VK Blues all around.
